PREFERRED PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULATIONS BY PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION VISITING PSYCHIATRY OUT PATIENT DEPARTMENT IN AN TERTIARY CARE CENTER

Objective: Sexual dysfunctions are increasing day by day. Various formulations available for the treatment of same. There has been psychological mind-set among Indian patients to have powdered medicines sexual dysfunction management. The aim this study was analyze preferred formulation dysfunction. Methods: A cross-sectional and observational undertaken from January 2018–January 2019 in psychiatry OPD a tertiary care teaching institute after approval Institutional Ethics Committee. semi-structured questionnaire made collecting information on demographic details pharmaceutical dysfunctions. Results: Out 164 participants who were analyzed, most common age group having found be 21–30 years (44%). Patients Ayurvedic form (38.41%) over Allopathic (23.17%). favor SOS medications (51.83%) than or night doses. Majority wanted drugs tablet (67.07%), monthly doses (43.9%), white color (39.02%), along with water (54.88%) at <Rs.100 per strip (67.07%). Conclusions: prefer SOS, basis, colored tablets, taken affordable prices. These factors need kept mind while formulating new guidelines ensure better compliance.
